NetObjects will suffice for a small business website that will remain largely static, but going beyond that level, the learning curve gets much steeper and the Help files are impenetrable. Its photo retouching capabilities may not be as advanced as Photoshops but are certainly as good as those of Photoshop Elementss. Its code-free design tools are easy enough to use but the templates are dated, both visually and in their underlying code. CorelDraw X6 can create any types of vector illustrations I need, so I do not need Adobe Illustrator. This brand new product is available separately for £159 including VAT, but it's actually just a rebranded version of NetObjects Fusion XII.

Website Creator X6 is offered as a free download for registered users. CorelDRAW X6 has a new typographic engine that adds support for complex scripts, including ligatures and OpenType stylistic alternates, and includes several fonts with them to use. The suite also includes Connect, a powerful browser and search facility for the bundled vector and photo clip-art, as well as online content from Flickr, Fotolia and iStockphoto.

It's relatively light on features, with support for layer masks and adjustment layers but no Dodge, Burn, Heal or Blur tools, and nothing to compare with the array of extra modules in Adobe Photoshop Elements or Corel's own PaintShop Pro software. Of course with all this it is still a complex product even for an expect so the video tutorials provided are an essential for the novice. Photo-Paint is still here, like an unwelcome sidekick that CorelDraw can't quite shrug off. Corel Capture allows easy screen capture even on occasions when other products don’t and Corel Trace to turn bitmaps to Vectors and much much more. The latest version is marketed as CorelDraw Graphics Suite 2021 (equivalent to version 23), and was released in March, 2021.
